Ruler of our days
Serving the Lord is not a part time job. So many of us want to treat our lives like we just serve the Lord on Sundays or in church. We need to go beyond that to truly pursue God. An intimate relationship doesn’t just happen. In the same way you work at and grow closer to someone you need to work and grow closer to God. This should be a daily striving for us all.
In the Lords prayer Jesus said “Father in heaven hallow be thy name, thy kingdom come and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread…” Just as Jesus tell us to pray for daily bread we should be praying daily. To stand against Satan and what is evil we are also told to put on the armor of God. This putting on of the armor maybe by spiritual but spiritual things manifest in physical behavior. Righteousness comes from obedience, Truth comes from reading the word, Faith comes from hearing the truth, peace comes from faith, and salvation from faith in the Lord. We should be pursuing all of these things daily to stand against evil and run our race to the end.
These things will tell you who rules your days and therefor life. If you day is ruled by worldly things it is run by the Devil for he is the ruler of this current world. But if your day is ruled by the pursuit of Christ and his kingdom. Than it is self evident who is the ruler of your days and life. I would press you brothers and sisters be a pursuer of Christ every day and not of the world. Let Jesus Christ be the ruler of your days. The lover of your soul. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
