We are temple keepers

I’d like to consider for a minute what it means to be a temple keeper. As the sole temple keeper of our temples we have to take on all responsibilities. We are the janitor we clean our temple. We are the priest performing sacrifices. We are the greeter welcome others to start their own temple. We are the rabbi or teacher educating others on temple processes, duties, and regular maintenance.

You see our relationship with God is all these things and it is our responsibility to live in that relationship. Although you should know this relationship isn’t one sided. God first wanted a relationship with us, he first became our priest in heaven on our behalf, he first sacrificed for us, he first sent a helper to maintain us, he also first loved us. You see our role as a temple keeper is truly being like Jesus, and reflecting the love he showed us back to him and others.

So as temple keepers we are temples of love, keepers of peace, managers of mercy, and teachers of kindness. We are to take what we have been given which is all of these things and share them outward to others in hopes they too will become temple keepers. Following Christ Jesus is the pursuit of the Father’s Will. Know that all these things are the gifts of the Holy Spirit because they are the Will of the Father in heaven. Please come to know Jesus today, and let the Lord show you what a perfect Will looks like and have faith in him for all your needs.
